There is no such existence as the “student artist”. You are either a student or an artist.
An artist’s allegiance is to continuous ontological examination, sensing and interceding by agency in the making of artifacts.
Any artist who perceives themselves as “Master” is no longer an artist and certainly no “master”. This person is a judge, a manufacturer. Or perhaps they view themselves as “Great Teacher”, or worse yet “Professional”.
The artists’ only devotion is to attend all they sense, for themselves.
