MUSIC is THE Teacher. No teacher, not one person, can tell you what Music tells YOU. That is between you, and Music. A discerning teacher is a musician who understands they are simply a Guide in function and form, attentive and submissive to what Music is continually teaching, compelling the student through experience to hear what Music may be telling them. In the end, Music doesn’t need teachers; it needs participants in it’s fundamental precepts and practitioners of it’s magnificent movements within the art form.
