If you feel you need to play the trumpet, then you must. Don’t worry about a career, or success, or failure. The musicians who are most fulfilled never stop working at their craft. There is no finish line, so don’t compare yourself to others’ talent, situations, and perceived circumstances; work on what you know YOU must accomplish. Play with heart, devotion, and optimism. Be happy, content, and patient in your developing talents and abilities. Don’t worry about being anxious or afraid; this is normal and most people are…direct this energy toward your work; you will become less anxious and afraid. Accept your mistakes with care, understanding, and sensitivity; they can be your best teachers. Be creative, come up with your own solutions. Above all, show gratitude for the talent you have been given, and be gracious towards others.
